Aces & Mudbugs tap out- Clippers & Xtreme head to Division Finals!The HTJHL Division Finals are set! The Springfield Xtreme advance to face the Steinbach Huskies in the East Division Final, following a sweep of the Aces, while the Clippers punched their ticket to the West Division Final with a 4-2 victory in Game 3 vs Red River on Thursday night.
The Swarm went 0-4 against Niverville this season but as we all know- the playoffs are a different beast! This series promises to be high intensity & physical. This is also Macdonald's first appearance in an HTJHL semi final in the teams' short history- Congratulations to the Swarm in doing so! They feel like they aren't done yet & will battle all the way til the end! The Clippers, following their own sweep of the Bugs', has their eyes set on a HTJHL Championship final. This series will be rocking from the get go!
The Huskies are coming off a hard fought battle with Mitchell. The Mustangs opportunity came in Game 1 in Steinbach, while holding large leads in the game, 6-2 into the third period- Steinbach awoke & never looked back- The Springfield Xtreme- the leagues top team this season- were true to form in their Division Semi Final against Ste Anne, only giving up one goal, which was in 3rd period of Game 3, completing the sweep of the Aces.
Congratulations to both Ste Anne & Mitchell on great first seasons back in the HTJHL loop! Great young talent & the league & its viewers look forward to many years of great action out of those 2 communities!

While Swarm & Huskies clinch series wins, advancing to Division Finals!The Macdonald Swarm & Steinbach Huskies were the first to complete series victories, sweeping away the Landmark Blues & Mitchell Mustangs respectively. The Swarm await winner of Clippers/Mudbugs while the Huskies will face winner of Xtreme/Aces. Those series will be Best of 7, going forward!
