Wednesday night, the series shifts to Niverville for Game 6 of the HTJHL Championship!
The Clippers lead the Best of 7 series 3-2 following Springfield's huge win in front of a packed house in Oakbank on Saturday night to fend off elimination on home ice! In Game 5, Xtremes' Sass opened the scoring with a mere 7 seconds left in the opening frame- setting up a momentum shift for the night. Chambers added on for Springfield who held a 2-1 lead heading to the 3rd. The insurance marker came with just over 6 minutes remaining in the third when Jette got through defenders and Niverville player collided with their own goaltender to allow Jette to net the 3-1 marker. An empty net goal to solidify the victory sending this series back to Niverville for Game 6, in what's expected to be a very large crowd at the CRRC on Wednesday night-
Will the Clippers win their first HTJHL championship in 31 years or will the Xtreme force a deciding Game 7 on home ice Saturday night in an attempt to win their 2nd Championship in franchise history, 1st in 8 years! This series has been a very competitive one & back & forth they go!!
Make sure you attend Wednesday night to find out!!
